The most characteristic feature of the shop is the 16-dish sweet soup tray, in which each cup has its own flavor. From black sesame sweet soup, red beans, green beans, corn sweet soup, taro sweet soup, Ba Ba sweet soup, banana sweet soup to flan cake and coconut jelly, all are cooked according to family recipes. The sweet flavor and light fatty coconut milk make the dessert both delicious and refreshing.

Customers can order each dish separately or choose a full 16-cup tea tray for 142,000 VND, enough for a group of 2 to 3 people to enjoy comfortably. If ordered individually, the price is only about 8,000 to 12,000 VND per cup. Each cup of sweet soup is filled to the right size and presented on a clean and beautiful tray. For take-away customers, the tea will be stored in a plastic cup with a tight lid, ensuring hygiene.

The sweet soup at the shop does not use ice, but it still makes people enjoy it thanks to its moderate sweetness and fat, so you won’t get bored after eating it.

According to Ms. Ngo Thi Thanh Tuyen, the current owner of the shop, Khanh Vy sweet soup was opened for sale by her grandmother before 1975. At that time, the shop only sold a few simple dishes such as green bean sweet soup, black bean sweet soup, banana sweet soup and lit oil lamps all evening. The simple signboard with the words “hot tea” was a familiar image of the shop back then.

After three generations, the shop still retains the old spirit but becomes more and more perfect. The menu has been expanded, adding many new dishes to suit modern customer tastes. During Tuyen’s lifetime, the tea tray was not only delicious but also beautiful, invested in everything from taste to presentation.

The restaurant’s name “Khanh Vy” is named after her daughter, but diners often affectionately call it “16-course sweet soup”.
