From February 11th to 28th, Thuong and Phuong embarked on a 19-day journey from Vietnam through Cambodia, Thailand, and Malaysia to reach Singapore by motorbike. Their journey through four Southeast Asian countries attracted the attention of travel enthusiasts.

A Journey Through Cambodia and Thailand

On February 11th, Thuong and Phuong crossed the Hoa Lu border gate in Binh Phuoc to enter Cambodia. After obtaining the necessary permits, they continued their ride, focusing on the Tonle Sap Lake route to reach the Poipet border gate in Thailand. While in Thailand, they traveled from bustling Bangkok to peaceful rural areas in the south, witnessing local people bathing elephants in the river.

After exploring Thailand, they arrived at the Sadao border gate in Songkhla province and entered Malaysia. Malaysia proved to be a paradise for adventure seekers, with its extensive highway system and affordable petrol prices. They continued their journey through Malaysia, enjoying the flat and clean roads that allowed them to satisfy their need for speed.

Arriving in Singapore and Exploring the City-State

From Malaysia, Thuong and Phuong reached a large bridge in Johor Bahru, which led them into Singapore on the 8th day of their journey. However, riding a motorbike in Singapore proved to be a different experience for them. The city-state’s strict traffic rules and limited parking areas made it challenging for them to explore and discover the city.

During their 3-day stay in Singapore, the two adventurers received enthusiastic help from the Vietnamese community there. They explored famous landmarks such as the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, Changi Airport, and the Singapore Science and Art Museum. They also indulged in delicious local dishes, immersing themselves in the vibrant food scene of Singapore.

After their memorable stay in Singapore, Thuong and Phuong made their way back to Malaysia, with plans to conquer China and Myanmar by motorbike in 2024.

Conclusion

Nguyen Tan Thuong and Chau Kiet Phuong’s epic motorbike journey from Vietnam to Singapore showcases their passion for adventure and the thrill of exploring new places. Their determination and love for the open road have inspired many travel enthusiasts to embrace the freedom and excitement of traveling on two wheels. As they continue to plan their future adventures, these two Vietnamese men are a testament to the spirit of adventure that lives within all of us.
