2 The journey to creating Hummingbird Cafe
The Hummingbird Cafe was born in 2018 from the dream of three specialty coffee enthusiasts. They are people who want to focus on quality and sustainability, while spreading the happiness of enjoying delicious coffee and baked goods made entirely in-house to customers.
Life is increasingly developing, consumers’ need to enjoy experiences is increasingly enhanced. “Currently, coffee is no longer simply a daily consumption commodity for people rushing to work. It is known that, before stabilizing the production facility and cafe in Vo Thi Sau – District 3, The Hummingbird started as a small-scale attic cafe located on an old apartment building located in Ton Duc Thang. – District 1. The Hummingbird Cafe at Vo Thi Sau was born and operated in parallel for about a year before closing the facility at 5H Ton Duc Thang in 2020.
“Initially, I still thought and cherished the plan to open a chain of coffee shops with many different styles but still ensuring consistent quality. However, in reality, it is very difficult to synchronize the quality of the shops. and bring optimal experience to customers. Therefore, from 2021, I will only maintain the model combining only one shop and a common workshop,” Ba Hoa confided.
